In one of the most evocative squares of the historic center of Treviso, among the picturesque cobbled streets and canals that reflect the historical charm of the city, stands an authentic institution: the Osteria La Roggia.
Federico, one of the two partners who took over the tavern in 2012, once finished his sporting career in the world of rugby, embraced his new life as an innkeeper in the heart of Treviso. After having played for years in various Italian clubs, Federico decided to “gain” experience by working in a bacaro in Venice. Subsequently, together with their brother-in-law Giuseppe, they decided to embark on this new challenge!


Located in an evocative corner of the city, between Piazza Trentin and the course of the Roggia river, the tavern is deliberately different, perhaps a little more informal, where you can feel at ease, meet up after a day of work or after a walk in the center to have a chat, sip a spritz and share a few laughs.
Not only that, La Roggia also offers cold dishes for lunch for those who work in the city, but it is in the aperitif that it excels, with the irresistible “spritz-hour” accompanied by good wine, snacks, cicchetti and fried foods of all kinds. A place that expertly combines the gastronomic tradition of Treviso with the informal and welcoming atmosphere of the tavern.
